Causey Pike & A Rare Brocken Spectre! Plus Scar Crags, Outerside & Barrow

This time on When The Mountains Call we were back in the Lake District taking on 4 more Wainwrights. We started on the pyramid peak of Causey Pike, then along the ridge on to Scar Crags. While up there the mist came down and we got to see a very rare weather phenomenon, a Brocken Spectre. After spending some time cloud hopping we headed on to Outerside and then finished our day on the small but beautifully formed summit of Barrow. We were rewarded with some unforgettable views, had some nice chats to other walkers and even did a little walking in the dark before the day was out. A great day and one we will always remember, mainly for seeing that rare Brocken Spectre and the cloud inversions while on top of Causey Pike and Scar Crags!
