Exploring Burnhope Pond Plantation

Welcome to Shane Goes Walkabout! In this video, I set off on an hour and 20 minute walk from home to explore the peaceful and scenic Burnhope Pond Plantation. It was a sunny but cloudy day — perfect for getting out into nature and soaking in the fresh air. The route was full of beautiful countryside views, with plenty of greenery and birdsong along the way. When I finally arrived, I was greeted by the calm and serene pond, tucked away like a hidden gem. It was a lovely spot to sit, relax, and take in the tranquil surroundings. The area is full of natural beauty and well worth the walk if you enjoy quiet places and a bit of adventure. This is just the beginning of my journey — I’ll also be visiting Daisy Hill, Waldridge Fells, Pelton Fells, and many other nature reserves and areas of natural beauty in the near future.
