His publications include The Shimmering Light - An Anthology of Ismaili Poetry (IIS, London, 1996), a new Persian edition and English translation of Nasir-i KhusPodcast -raw’s ‘Gushayish wa Rahayish’ printed as Knowledge and Liberation (IIS, London, 1998), The Holy Ahl al-Bayt in the Prophetic Traditions (Karachi, 2000), as well as contributions to the Encyclopaedia of Islam, Encyclopaedia Iranica, Oriente Moderno, ISHRAQ and other publications. He has also translated from Urdu into English, more than 70 works, including The Book of Healing, Balance of Realities and The Wise Qur’an and the World of Humanity, of ‘Allamah Nasir al-Din Nasir Hunzai whose main focus is esoteric Ismailism. He is in the process of completing an English translation of Nasir-i Khusraw’s magnum opus on ta’wil, Wajh al-din and its new Persian edition. He also hopes to publish a new edition of Hamid al-Din Kirmani’s al-Riyad. In retirement he continues to work as an independent scholar.
