This time, I spent three days and two nights in Ise–Shima. I stayed at a small gesthouse in a seaside town, where three cats live their everyday lives. The room I stayed in seemed to be one of their favorite spots. They would come by to rest for a while, or return after going outside, and before I realized it, we were often in the same space together. During meals, and even at night while sleeping, we spent a lot of time in the same room. It was a stay where you could quietly experience what it feels like to live alongside cats.
