Ship Setting Sail Onto Superior Under The Aurora Borealis (Duluth)

I very rarely ask everyone to stick around until the end of a video. This is a rare exception and I promise it’s well worth it. Perhaps one of the most spectacular sights I’ve seen in Duluth! To start with, H Lee White departed empty for Marquette MI at around 10pm out of the Canal with the Northern Lights just starting up behind her over the hills. As beautiful as it was, it proved to just be a warmup for what came later. The other shots (included here before and after the ship’s departure) taken well after midnight from the beach near Lafayette Park on Minnesota Point were far more spectacular, they filled the sky with ribbons of blazing light, illuminating Lake Superior and the city with blazing colors! Absolutely breathtaking. Rather than continue on a long winded description I’ll let this video speak for itself.
