the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasyxx2h... "how many statuses you want to inflict?" Lance of the styx: "yes" Flux is considered the boss where the difficulty in the original game starts ramping up, but to be honest i never had any problem with him. Here it's different, this Flux is what a challenge is about. Seymour Flux inflict a bunch of statuses with lance of the styx, one of those is zombie, which then is used as a combo from Mortiorchis by casting "CTB cure". From my undertanding, "CTB cure" instantly ready the turn of the target, but if the target is under zombie the "cure" is reversed and they get delayed. I don't know what is the delay limit, but i weren't able to see the character's turn anymore, so you really don't want to be delayed. If no target is in zombie it will be used on Flux. At first i believed the intended strategy was for a character to stay in zombie to not have "CTB cure" used on Flux, but when i saw the delay it was clearly not. Among the statuses that "lance of the styx" inflicts, there are zombie, poison and slow, which i considered the worse (in retrospect poison wasn't, considered that is cured by albhed potions). Luckily for me i had a weapon for Auron with slowproof, so a customized armor for zombieproof and poisonproof was all what i needed. Auron procedes to "guard" to not let other characters get attacked by the lance of the styx. Seymour still has some movest from the last fight, he can penta-ra spells in the usual order and he can break. In the last fight resisting the penta-ra spells wasn't that hard by staying in critical HP with the right SOS nul-elemental armors, here is not that easy because he has some non elemental AoE attacks too. To deal with them (and break), reflect does a splendid job, not only it keeps us safe but it deals like 25000 damage to Seymour, with him having weakness to any element bar ice, which he absorb. Penta-blizzara does heal him, but luckily is the first spell of the cycle. It's not possible to attack Flux with melee weapons to hit his 3 weaknesses, only Wakka has this privilege. The good old "-firestrike -lightningstrike -waterstrike" weapon he had customized back from the thunder plain was one of the weapons which never let me down. When he reaches half health, it's time for phase 2. Here Seymour and Mortiorchis will give you some time before the former casts "total annihilation" and the second "cross cleave". Their turns come one after the other, if you want to survive that you have to delay the turn of one of the two, to heal in between. For me trying to tank both attack feels a bit to extreme, so i decided to use entrust with Tidus to give Yuna a full gauge and used a summon to "delay" even further total annihilation, as Flux is forced to use banish versus aeons; plus is 15999 damage. It was enough to build the damage to kill him before those moves.
