People, Get Ready "Walking Joyfully"

Advent is a time of preparation when we acknowledge that we are in a waiting period. We are in an “in-between” time. Jesus, the Messiah, has come, and we are awaiting his second coming. Waiting may imply sitting down and idly passing the time. But as Christians, we aren’t called to simply wait it out; rather, we are called to proclaim the good news of Jesus as we walk through our daily lives. As the angels first told the shepherds of Bethlehem, “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” However, if we’re being honest, sometimes our unmet expectations steal our joy and dampen our enthusiasm. These are the times when we need the Holy Spirit the most, to inspire us to get up and get moving again. God continues to be at work in our world. Tell the world what you hear and see, and walk joyfully with Jesus.
