-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music in this video "Stay with Your Love" credit to Amtenar. 2009 #amtenar #staywithyourlove #gitarisalirangot ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rinjani's marvelous trails offer diverse landscapes, from the sunny savannah grasslands and rolling hills of the Sembalun route with cow pats to the lush rainforests and waterfalls of the Torean trail (often called Rinjani's "Jurassic Park"), and the challenging volcanic ash and gravel paths leading to the summit, featuring steep climbs, rock scrambles, and breathtaking views of the crater lake (Segara Anak) and surrounding peaks, with sections varying from easy strolls to intensely steep, dusty ascents. What different trails look like: Sembalun Route (Summit Focused): Early Stages: Gentle, breezy, rolling hills, open savannah with cow dung, easier going. Challenging Section: Very steep (up to 50 degrees), dusty, with widely spaced steps from Pos 3 to Pos Extra, requiring good fitness and shoes. Summit Push: Extremely difficult, steep, volcanic gravel/ash terrain, often starting at 3 a.m. for sunrise. Torean Trail (Scenic & Lush): Landscape: Deep river valleys, dramatic cliffs, lush greenery, waterfalls (like Tiara Dewi Anjani), and geothermal areas. Experience: A quieter, more picturesque, and gradual ascent than other routes, often used for descent after visiting the lake, offering a "Jurassic Park" feel. Senaru Route: Landscape: Starts in cooler, dense tropical rainforest, moving to the crater rim with stunning views of the lake and volcano. Experience: Features tree root steps, potential for slippery surfaces, and a mix of shaded forest and open, dusty sections. Trail Characteristics: Variety: From open grasslands to dense forests, rivers, waterfalls, and volcanic slopes. Difficulty: Ranges from manageable slopes to extremely steep, challenging sections (especially for summit pushes). Surfaces: Includes dirt paths, volcanic ash, loose gravel, and tree roots. Highlights: Panoramic crater views, Segara Anak Lake, hot springs, and diverse ecosystems. Info: www.lombokanywhere.com
