"Maintain the cause" by Pastor Steve Hall, Grace Baptist Church, Kabega Park, Port Elizabeth

Pastor Steve Hall will be preaching from the book of 1 Kings, Chapter 8, Verses 54 to 66. The title of the message is “Maintain the cause”. The 5 greatest needs for a Christian to reach the world for Christ. When we are saved, God will never leave us nor forsake us, but he can, and will, forsake a nation that moves far from Him. The first need that we have is The Lord Himself – We must understand that we can do nothing without Him. Our second need is obedience - the relationship we have with God as saved believers cannot be broken, but the fellowship between us is broken when we are disobedient. Obedience is more desired than sacrifice. We need to be feasting on Gods’ Word, be in prayer constantly, faithfully attend all Church services and be missions-minded at all times so that we do not lose any opportunity to be a witness for Christ. We must be faithful stewards of what Christ has given us - our time, our talents and our treasures. We also need sacrifice – He has paid it all for us, we need to sacrifice our lives for Him. We must maintain the Cause – the Cause being “That all the world should know that there is one God”. When we do what God wants us to do, we have true joy.
