The UNAM chess festival is one of the largest in the world, with thousands of chess fans, many tournaments - e.g. the Second Grand International Tournament Chess Open UNAM 2012, the First National University Chess Tournament "Schools Included" - simultaneous exhibitions, workshops, art and science competitions, etc. The main events included the Magistral Grandes Maestras Female tournament with 18 titled players from three continents.
