I thought this might be helpful for someone, as I struggled finding some of these progression points my first time through this mission and wound up fighting quite a few Specters, which isn't terrible, but they're completely pointless and just a time-wasting hindrance (a running theme for this game). The platforming in this game is some of the worst I've ever experienced and yet it seems to weirdly proud of it and wants you to do it all the time. And I don't mean Horizon platforming in general, because H:ZD felt like a more carefully sculpted experience that generally works. In H:FW, though, once again it feels like scale got away from them, and more often than not Aloy seems confused and doesn't know what she's supposed to do on the climbing structures. This compounds with the general uneven terrain issues that are omnipresent throughout the game to just give all of H:FW a bad "game feel", in my opinion. It never feels like Aloy properly occupies the world she lives in. Unfortunately once you skip the Specters, you reduce this final mission down to nothing but a platforming rush, making it a generally awful mission. I left killing Erik in at the end just for kicks, since my approach here is a bit more streamlined compared to my original fight against him. Although I probably should have swapped the Long Range Coils on my Forgefall to Impact +12% or Critical +15%. In one of my other attempts I shot his helmet off, and managed to headshot him for 10003 damage on a crit.
