ARK Korp Swimrun Wetsuit 2022 | Overview & First Impressions

This is a complete new design and feature set for 2022. This is their entry level wetsuit and is pretty feature packed making it a great overall wetsuit. This light weight wetsuit comes in at 550g for a Mens medium and features some of Ark’s premium features from their higher end suits that have made their way down to the Korp. Lets get into a brief overview and first impressions of this suit. Let’s start at the top of the suit with updated collar and Ark’s signature anti-leak neck. This suit features two types of neoprene with the more traditional Yamamoto neoprene on the chest, core and back and the non-smooth neoprene on the sleeves and underarms. This makes it a very durable suit. Going down the suit they feature a sturdy zipper with pull tab that is easy to bring up and down which you need to do regularly in swimrun. Now an interesting piece of tech is the Ark buoyancy belt which is thicker 3mm neoprene that helps improve flotation and body position in the water. The Ark Korp features Ark’s running+ style bottom which provide a great range of motion and freedom during the run legs of swimrun. Moving to the back of the suit you see the only pocket which features an angled zipper which can fit a bunch of gels in there we would say 6-8 gels depending on the gel size, so plenty of room to bring enough fuel for a several hour swimrun. This suit also comes with neoprene arm sleeves which have nice and solid grips to keep them in place and not sliding down. For around $350 USD this suit is a great value and we use this suit for our training sessions because it is very durable and an overall great suit.
