The singer, producer and drummer from Lokomotive Kreuzberg, the Nina Hagen Band and Spliff had seen Maurenbrecher live, was totally enthusiastic and wanted to work with him. Mitteregger arranged and produced three Maurenbrecher albums between 82 and 85, played drums and keyboards, among other things, and Maurenbrecher also arranged, sang his compositions and played piano. The rest is German rock history. Manfred Maurenbrecher regards the Rockpalast on February 25, 1985 in the Markthalle Hamburg as one of the highlights of those years. Here, with his great band, he primarily played tracks from the successful albums “Feueralarm” and “Viel zu schön”, including his outstanding German cover version “In der Nachbarschaft” of Tom Waits' “In The Neighbourhood”.
