Monogram is commercializing the next generation of patient optimized implants. Our designs use a near-perfect digital file of the patient's bone as the input for the surgical plan. During surgery, the Monogram robot, which is mechanically accurate to 0.004 inches, prepares the patient's bone for a very tight tolerance positioned fit. To demonstrate this highly technical concept in a fun and interactive way, we decided to turn our robot into a caricaturist! The idea is quite similar to a Monogram procedure. In the Monogram workflow, we start with a near-perfect digital file of the patient's bone from a CT scan. In this video, the cellphone picture. Monogram then uses software to create a surgical plan; these are the custom commands that instruct our robot how to execute the surgical procedure. While this may seem simple, it is highly technical with multiple safety features. For example, Monogram has cameras that watch or "track" the patient many times a second to make sure the robot is doing its job correctly. We believe the future of orthopaedics is personal, and we believe we are the company that will help make it a reality! For more information please visit: http://monogramorthopedics.com
