Jennifer Whyte, University of Sydney https://www.sydney.edu.au/engineering... Talk summary: https://sites.google.com/modelingtalk... Join for talk announcements: https://groups.google.com/a/modelingt... Abstract: Infrastructure projects are interventions into wider systems. This talk will draw on my recent work on systems integration, configuration management and handover in large infrastructure projects, and on work with the UK‘s national data science and AI institute, the Alan Turing Institute, through the Data Centric Engineering Program (co-sponsored by Lloyds Register Foundation). It will describe the importance of collaborative visualization of modelling, and work to develop a Construction Production Control Room (like the NASA mission control room), to enable shared insight. I will end by describing my new research agenda around project leadership and would be pleased to explore opportunities for collaboration. Bio: Jennifer Whyte is Director of the John Grill Institute for Project Leadership and Head of School of Project Management, in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney (2021-). She brings substantial research leadership experience previously directing two Centres, leading interdisciplinary research teams, working across departments, collaborating with industry members and partners, running showcase events with senior industry, policy makers and Ministers, and convening related Executive Education, CPD and MSc Programmes.
