Hey folks! Well what a trip out this was!!! I have wanted to shoot the Antony Gormley statues at Crosby ('Another Place') ever since I saw a shot of them on Google Maps. They just screamed 'LONG EXPOSURE FINE ART' at the tops of their voices! What I didn't realise was how many there were and how fast the tide moved in!!! Part of my concern since I bought the Nikon Z8 was that I have always suffered with an obscene amount of hot pixels. More often than not it would render the images unusable, either that or being prepared to sit for 2 hours and clone them all out!! Well.....I have finally found a solution!!!! It is an absolute game changer and has meant that I will now be keeping hold of the Z8 rather than chopping it in for an old D850. In this video I run through how you can sort your camera out if its behaving as badly as mine and it is so simple its not even funny. I capture some of my favorite images of the year in this video. Now I realise that this type of photography is not to everyones taste (and hence I dont put vidoes out about it all the time, although it is one of my favorite genres!) and the 'Old Man of the Mountains' is certainly not a fan, BUT this place just lends itself perfectly to it. This location is also west facing so the potential to capture an amazing sunset is also more than possible. Hope you like the images I captured and dont be afraid to leave a comment to let me know which one is your favorite. I thought I should mention that I sell all of the images that feature in my vlogs and if you see one that you like and think 'that would look great on my wall' or 'what a magnificent gift that would make for....' please get in touch! You can see more of my work at www.andrewjsmithphotography.com. Anyway, enough rambling, on wards and upwards and i'll catch you on the next one! A #landscapephotography #anotherplace #nikonz8
