Bosstiary - The Souldespoiler [Solo]

In this video I will show you how to solo The Souldespoiler from The Cults of Tibia Quest. My previous video on this boss shows how to gain access and what it is like as a team but this video will be focusing on the solo strategy. The boss can be solo'd under level 400 but I would probably recommend at least around 400 for it to go smoothly consistently. The first phase you must defeat The Sinister Hermit. When his robes are Yellow he takes almost no damage. You must keep an eye out for the orange text "SPLASH" which will appear when a geyser activates. You must lure the boss onto the geyser and as soon as you do damage to him while on a geyser his robes will switch to blue. In this form he is more vulnerable to damage so you'll actually be able to pick away at his hp. Also, every time The Sinister Hermit switches to his blue form he will summon two Vermin Swarms. It is not as important when you are doing this boss as a team but if you are solo you'll want to try to limit the amount of times the boss changes forms. Lure the boss onto a geyser and switch him to his blue form. You'll want to kill the Vermin Swarms that spawn but assuming you do things correctly you shouldn't have to kill too many more. We'll want to keep the boss in his vulnerable form. When you lure him onto a geyser target the boss and attack with your highest damage. For example, exori gran con if you are a Paladin. After you get your round of attacks in remove target from the boss. When you are able to attack again, target the boss, let your attacks go, then stop target again. If you keep doing this strategy it will limit the amount of form changes the boss has and allow you to just focus on damage. Depending on how fast you get The Sinister Hermit onto the geyser you should be able to get two to three rounds of attacks in before the geyser goes away. The reason you want to remove your target after each attack is because The Sinister Hermit steps off the geysers often. If you keep your focus on the boss your auto attacks will cause his form to change a lot more than necessary. My attempts when I did not remove target after each attack were a lot more messy and took longer. I often got trapped with many Vermin Swarms and the fight ended up taking two to three minutes longer than if I just removed target after each attack. So I recommend this strategy. Once you've killed the Sinister Hermit The Souldespoiler will spawn. There isn't much to change strategy wise about this phase. You'll be able to attack this boss but won't do very much damage to it. You can just target it as normal, use field runes, or whatever you want for additional damage. Over time, Freed Souls will begin to spawn. These will do drowning damage to the boss for several thousand damage each hit. The boss should die when you have 2 to 3 Freed Souls spawned damaging it. I found you get less Freed Souls when solo but am unsure what triggers their spawns exactly. Just make sure to keep them close enough to the boss so they damage it with their AoE. The Souldespoiler is in the Archfoe category which means you will get 100 boss points total for 60 kills. This isn't a very popular boss but if you want the additional boss points you can solo it if you follow this strategy. Hopefully this video helps unlock The Souldespoiler in your Bosstiary.
