Bosstiary - The Souldespoiler

In this video I will show you how gain access to and kill The Souldespoiler. The Souldespoiler is part of The Cults of Tibia Quest. I have been duoing this boss with a mage as the main blocker as a Paladin since before level 400 so it isn't too difficult. It is even possible to solo which though possible can be a bit more annoying. At least three to four players is nice for this boss as it will make the first phase a lot easier. The first phase you must defeat The Sinister Hermit. When his robes are Yellow he takes almost no damage. You must lure the boss onto the geyser and as soon as you do damage to him while on a geyser his robes will switch to blue. In this form he is more vulnerable to damage so you'll actually be able to pick away at his hp. Also, every time The Sinister Hermit switches to his blue form he will summon two Vermin Swarms. You'll want to make sure to be doing some area damage to make sure you are not overrun. You'll have to watch to time your attacks appropriately to manage the Sinister Hermit's forms and maximize damage. As soon as you damage the boss while he is standing on a geyser he will switch to his blue vulnerable form. As soon as he takes damage when he steps off the geyser he will revert back to his yellow form that takes reduced damage. So, if you notice him step off the geyser you can stop attacking and lure him back on before damaging him so he won't switch forms. Or if you are going to damage him off the geyser and allow him to switch back to yellow, make sure it is a high damage attack. If you have 4 players of a high enough level, which varies depending on vocation, it is better to stand all around the boss and trap him on the geyser to prevent him from stepping off. This will allow you to focus him the whole time until the geyser deactivates. This can be quite effective as well even with 3 players if you have a knight. The Knight can stand diagonal between the other two players casting exeta res to keep the boss's focus and it shouldn't wander off the geyser too often. Once you've killed the Sinister Hermit The Souldespoiler will spawn. You'll be able to attack this boss but won't do very much damage to it. Over time, Freed Souls will begin to spawn. These will do drowning damage to the boss for several thousand damage each hit. The boss should die when you have 3 to 4 Freed Souls spawned damaging it. Just make sure to keep them close enough to the boss so they damage it with their AoE. The Souldespoiler is in the Archfoe category which means you will get 100 boss points total for 60 kills. Some websites say this boss drops a Shield of Corruption but I've never seen proof of it. I wouldn't bother putting this boss on a boss slot ever.
