I would cold open the finale with the flashback scene from the beginning of the actual HBO show’s S2, E6, showing Joel & Tommy’s father when they were kids. This is to bookend the Porch scene, which I moved from Episode 6 to the Season 2 finale. I would also add the dialogue from the HBO version to my version of the Porch scene as well. After the titles, I would move the “Farm” opening & transition directly from that to “Next Steps.” Depending on what the HBO show does for Seasons 3 & 4, I might also include more of Abby & Lev in Santa Barbara, but I would likely save that for Season 3, maybe going back further than where they start in “2425 Constance” to get a better sense of their new life like we got to see with Ellie & Dina.
