BMW Drivers Club NSW Round 7 - SMSP GARDNER GP Circuit 02/11/22 (Prepared C) Few misfire issues, fuel surge and “technical difficulties” made the night painful but ultimately happy with a 1:47.25 (RaceChrono). Although what should have been a 1:46 turned out to be a DNF thanks to cylinder 5 miss fire!! New goal is to crack 1:45 with the stock N55 turbo, new a052s and some fresh brake fluid (brake pedal started to feel soft on that session). Need to refine a few corners, brake later and let the car flow more! ————————————————————— DATA First time using RaceRender to overlay the data as i thought it would interesting to watch the Timing corrections live. Timing Corrections (bottom right) are a bit excessive in my opinion. Going to assume stale E85 as it was pretty noticeable all evening (1:54). Boost is 16 PSI peak although should be 20PSI but the N55 turbo can only flow so much on the track. As you can see it tapers down to 9/10 PSI down the main straight (1:05). HPFP & AFR are holding nicely after the Motiv Reflex port Injection controller install. AFR Is High 11s & low 12s HPFP sits at 1000 PSI OFF & 2400 PSI WOT. Oil pressure is stable thanks to the Accusump and VAC Baffle install, extra 1L of oil helps too! Highest G corner dips to 30 PSI (1:29). Struggling with fuel surge coming down the hill from turn 3 to 4 (1:40) and the slow right handed after turn 8. Will need to start considering a surge tank. Even with a full tank of E85 I get surge!! The Wifi signal interference disrupted the speed and throttle data a few times so that’s why the green throttle bar is a bit temperamental (1:08) also why I left the speed out.
