Kumbartcho Natural Sequence Farming wetland restored, & contours.

This video shows a gully, & wetland system that's been restored over the last 10 years (2014 to 2024). I had both Peter Andrews, & Stuart Andrews consult on ground at the beginning. Since then Stuart has been back to build 2 contours that have brought this whole thing to life. Yes I made some fundamental mistakes in the beginning, however they have been great learning opportunities. Starting work in the gully was the first mistake. I now work from the top of the hills! This video also shows some Syntropic Agroforestry plantings, which are north south aligned (an aspect monoculture) paying no attention to contour, & how water works in the landscape. The previously drained landscape now has water table restored, & it acts like the tides, with water discharging on weather/planetary cycles. The whole system is running water 24/7/365, & we harvest some of this excess into contours. One contour is 2.4 km long, & only a few metres above the highest flood level of Wide Bay Creek, while the other 700 metres long, ending due to running into infrastructure! I've just spent 2 days flying drone, & learning to edit video footage, & add a sound track! Anyone who would like to learn the art, I'm throwing it out there to offer tutoring! I bought my drone a few years ago, & did on line lessons on videography, however never got to the editing footage stage till now! Wahoo! Enjoy!
