We went on down to Walton's Annual Steak Cook-off to watch 75 teams compete in a Steak Cook-off Association competition to see who cooks the ultimate steak! Walton's Steak Cook-off event raised money for the "Air Capital Flyers" For a $10 ticket, customers had access to mouthwatering samples from some of our local vendors such as Bash Brothers BBQ, Chile Slingers, and Noble Salts. Customers also had the chance to try two of Wichita's favorite food trucks, The Flying Stove and the Underdog Food Truck for unique & delicious foods. And if you didn't want to try those food trucks your ticket got you access to samples of chicken, pulled pork, and steak as well as some Walton's Bold Tender Jerky, Sweet Teriyaki Jerky, Habanero BBQ and Willies Snack sticks, and Hatch Green Chili and Blue Ribbon Bratwurst all made in our studio kitchen! They also brought in PK Grills to cook up and serve steak samples as well as performing competition steak demos. Customers could purchase beer sampling tickets at the gate so they can try a variety of local brews for $1 dollar from Wichita Brewing Company. Also, that $1 ticket got you entered into a Giveaway to Win a PK Charcoal Grill! Shaken or Stirred bartending on-site with their full-service mobile bar serving any concoction to quench your thirst. We saw the lineup of 75 competition steak cooking teams from across the country that competed for $10,000 dollars in prize money and listen to the best DJ in Wichita, DJ Carbon. In Walton's retail store they had special one-day sales and giveaways as well as entering into giveaways for amazing prizes for the gun enthusiast from Pass it On Outdoor Mentors, Ducks Unlimited, BHA, and Range 54.
