Join us as we celebrate the life of Professor Jacques Fomerand, a beloved teacher who was profoundly dedicated to his students and the Masters in International Affairs (MIA) Program. Professor Fomerand worked with the MIA program for decades, teaching generations of students in his classes about the complexities of the United Nations system, the intricacies of European politics, the power of peacekeeping operations, and how to understand the world through his research methods classes. He advised countless theses, helped place students in internships, and was quite simply a wonderful influence in his students' lives. Because of his extraordinary contributions to the program, the Colin Powell School recognized him with the 2024 Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching.
