#karenabeltravel #hiking #Everglades national park #Anhinga trail Welcome everybody, Come and join me as we hike along 5easy day hikes that are family friendly in the Everglades National Park. We will begin just 4 miles from the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center at the parks most famous trail, the Anhinga Trail. Mostly along an elevated boardwalk we will pass through a pond apple willow marsh which is where the anhingas nest. We spot several birds and other wildlife. At the same visitor center, the Royal Palm center we will also hike the Gumbo Limbo trail. Then back to the main road we travel to the next trail, the Pinelands Trail which goes through a hardwood hammock and a slash pine area. Next easy day hike will be the Dwarf Cypress Pine Trail, again another easy day hike that is accessible from the main road. Then we travel to the Mahogony Hammock Trail which is located 20 miles from the main entrance to the park. This trail has some surprises like an owl and of course we see the oldest Mahogony tree in the US along the trail.
