During the end of 2024, SAS used their A330 on selected rotations between Oslo and Copenhagen. Having never flown on one before, I decided to take up on that opportunity! Overall the flight was quite decent, and the A330 isn't such a bad aircraft to fly on. The 2-4-2 configuration is nice, and I do like that SAS have installed gear and top-down cameras on their A330s - at least their newer ones. Before the flight, a visit is also paid to the SAS Domestic lounge, which, despite its name, can be used by pax flying internationally too. It's a decent lounge with a nice interior, and the food and beverage offerings, while not exceptional, aren't necessarily too bad either - I particularly enjoyed the mushroom soup. Admittedly, the wine on a tap isn't exactly the height of sophistication, not to mention that the lounge was very crowded today. Still, at 299 NOK (approx. 26€), SAS do charge less for lounge access, compared to most other European carriers. One thing about the flight which was a bit disappointing though, was not getting upgraded to Business Class, which was especially the case considering I made a pretty good bid. The total delay of 1 hour wasn't great either, but considering the significant disruptions at OSL earlier that day due to the weather conditions - even leading to the temporary closure of the airport - we were kind of lucky that our flight didn't face an ever bigger delay, or worse.
