MDF, Producers & Partners | Stronger Communities, Sustainable Farming

𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 is not a side project. It’s part of how sustainable agriculture is built. Along 𝗚𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘄𝗲𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝘄𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 serve the children of farmworkers — a preschool and a primary school for Grades 1–4. These schools are a vital part of the farming community, yet like many rural institutions, they face real, practical challenges. Through the initiative of producer Faffa le Roux, with the support of the Waitrose Foundation and MDF, a much-needed personnel room was built for the school’s staff, creating a space where teachers can plan, collaborate, and feel supported. This project reflects a core belief at MDF: 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀. By investing in every link in the value chain — from the orchard to the classroom — we strengthen the future of our industry and the 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 that hold it together.
