How The Victims of Air India AI 171 Reacted To The Preliminary Report? | Air India Crash The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau has released its preliminary report into the tragic Air India plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad on the night of June 12. The flight, carrying 241 passengers, crashed shortly after takeoff into a medical college campus—leaving only one survivor. The preliminary investigation found that the fuel to the engines in the plane had been cut off just seconds after it took off. It is still not clear why or how that happened. However, voice recordings have been recovered from the cockpit, where the pilots can be heard asking, "why did you cut off?" to which the other pilot responded that he "did not do so". Families of the victims had been anxiously awaiting this report for over a month. Now, their wait is finally over.
