Some people with migraine also report a symptomatic phase before the onset of pain, commonly referred to as the premonitory (or prodromal) phase of migraine. It remains unclear whether any specific symptoms or biological processes are characteristic of this phase. Dr. Cédric Gollion & Dr. Roberto De Icco debate whether the premonitory phase of migraine is due to hypothalamic dysfunction. Dr. Cédric Gollion, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Scientist at the Hospital Center University De Toulouse, France. His academic works focus identification of neuroimaging biomarkers in stroke and migraine. Dr. Roberto De Icco, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Scientist at University of Pavia, Italy. His academic works focus on neurophysiological investigations in migraine. This talk was given at the 1st International Conference on Advances in Migraine Sciences (ICAMS) held in Copenhagen, Denmark, March 10-12, 2022. Learn more at https://www.icams2022.com
