SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Hany al-Shamali, displaced from Gaza city: “There is food and meat, but no one has money. How can we purchase food? How can we live? This is a big problem.” 8. Various of worker filling pots with food STORYLINE: Dozens of Palestinians gathered in central Gaza’s Nuseirat on Wednesday with pots and pans to get cooked food from one of the two remaining charity kitchens serving the area. “There is no food or water,” said Abdel Raouf Qaddourah, who was displaced from Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza. He said he cannot go back to his home because he doesn't even recognise the area anymore. "I have no idea where I live. I suffered a lot. I was displaced multiple times - six, seven, eight times - with my belongings and clothes.” Meanwhile, aid deliveries into Gaza are falling far short of the amount called for under the U.S.-brokered ceasefire, according to an Associated Press analysis of the Israeli military's figures. Humanitarian groups say the shortfall, as well as the price of goods, is severely impacting the strip's 2 million people. Since the U.S.-brokered ceasefire began on Oct. 10, the price for a 12-kilogram (26.5 pound) cylinder of cooking gas has shot up to 1,314 shekels ($406), about 18 times what it was before the war. “There is food, and meat, but no one has money,” Hany al-Shamali, who was displaced from Gaza City, said. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
