Ingredients: 3 cups warm warm water 1 T yeast 2/3 cup sugar 1/3 cup melted butter 1 egg 1 T salt 8 to 8 1/2 cups flour (all purpose, bread flour, or a mix of half and half) Directions: 1. Add water, yeast, sugar and let sit ten minutes. 2. Butter, egg, salt, and four cups flour. Mix well. 3. Add remaining flour and knead. 4. Cover and let rise 45 minutes. 5. Spray 6 mini pans and preheat oven to 400 degrees. Divide dough and place in pans. Let sit for 20 minutes. 6. Put pans in oven on bottom rack and immediately change oven temperature until 350 degrees. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a food thermometer inserted into the middle of the loaf reaches 190 degrees. 7. Let cool in pans for 5-10 minutes and then remove. Enjoy with butter, of course. Place leftover mini loaves in freezer bags and place in freezer. They thaw beautifully.
