This beautiful 1951 Ferrari 212 Export Berlinetta Touring (S/N 0088E) took part in the 2022 edition of Modena Cento Classic, a race for historical cars yearly in Italy. Its debut in competitions took place on August 23, 1951, when the owner of the time, Mr Augusto Caraceni, participated in the hill climb race Stella Alpina with the number 254, obtained an absolute fifth place and the second class for cars beyond 2.0-litres. In the following two years, the vehicle became owned by Count Antonio Naselli, who used it in some races, including the XII Giro di Sicilia and the Coppa di Toscana, without obtaining great results. Many passage owners succeeded each other until, in 2008, the car was entirely restored by inserting a limited-slip differential better to manage the car in the competition on the track. Martin Halusa is the owner and brought the 212 Export to the race at the 2022 Modena Cento Ore. The engine is the 2.6-litre V12 naturally aspirated designed by Gioachino Colombo equipped with Weber 32 DCF carburettors capable of developing 150 BHP at 6.500 rpm. To move it, a 5-speed manual gearbox takes care of it, and the traction is rear. Thanks also to the aluminium body and the tubular steel frame, the car weighs only 800 kg. In Total, 27 specimens were built, but only 4 of Touring Berlinetta, as you see in this video. It is, therefore, a rare car. Enjoy! 😉 Questo bellissimo esemplare di Ferrari 212 Export Berlinetta Touring del 1951 (s/n 0088E) ha preso parte all'edizione 2022 della Modena Cento Ore, gara per vetture storiche che si svolge ogni anno in Italia. Il suo debutto nelle competizioni avviene il 23 Agosto del 1951 dove il proprietario dell'epoca, il Sig. Augusto Caraceni partecipa alla gara in salita Stella Alpina con il numero 254. Ottiene un quinto posto assoluto ed il secondo di classe nella categoria per vetture oltre due litri. Nei due anni successivi l'auto diviene di proprietà del Conte Antonio Naselli che la impiega in alcune gare tra cui il XII Giro di Sicilia e la Coppa della Toscana senza ottenere grossi risultati. Si sono succeduti molti passaggi di proprietari fin quando nel 2008 l'auto è stata completamente restaurata inserendo anche un differenziale a slittamento limitato per meglio gestire la vettura nelle competizioni in pista. Attualmente è di proprietà di Martin Halusa che l'ha portata in gara in quest'ultima Modena Cento Ore. Il propulsore è il 2.6-Litri V12 aspirato progettato da Gioachino Colombo dotato di carburatori Weber 32 DCF capace di sviluppare 150 bhp a 6.500 giri/min. Per muoverlo ci pensa un cambio manuale a 5 rapporti e la trazione è posteriore. Grazie anche alla carrozzeria in alluminio ed al telaio tubolare in acciaio la vettura pesa solamente 800 Kg. In totale sono stati costruiti 27 esemplari ma solo 4 di Touring Berlinetta come quella che vedete in questo video. Si tratta dunque di un'auto molto rara.
