Hello Guys, In this video I am going to discuss proper grip and hand position when performing jump rope double unders, or any jump rope move. Key points to remember to increase the efficiency of the rope rotation are: 1. Keep a loose and relaxed grip on the jump rope handles. 2. Place your thumb on the top of the handle and your forefinger below, as if you were handing someone a pen. 3. Begin with your hands pointed in a slightly downward angle to start the rotation of the rope. 4. Once the jump rope has begun to rotate, be sure to just use your wrists to rotate the rope. Try to eliminate excessive movement in your forearms, elbows, or shoulders. 5. Keep your hands at the mid-point of your body, around hip level. 6. Hands should be slightly in front of your hips at all times. 7. Keep you hand position at the same level and plane.
