In this 40-minute yoga practice we focus on gently releasing tension in the hips and lower back. These areas of the body often become tight from long periods of sitting, physical strain, or holding unconscious tension throughout the day. The hips are closely connected to the psoas and surrounding muscles that respond to our stress response. When we experience ongoing stress, the body can stay in a subtle protective pattern, which may lead to tightness or discomfort in the hips and lower back over time. Through slow stretching and mindful movement, this practice invites the body to soften and release some of that accumulated tension. This class is designed to support both physical mobility and nervous system regulation. You’ll move through a series of gentle hip-opening stretches while cultivating steady breathing and awareness, helping the body shift into a more relaxed, parasympathetic state. Perfect for anyone experiencing tight hips, lower back tension, or simply wanting to slow down and reconnect with the body. ✨ Props optional: a cushion, yoga block, or folded blanket for support.
