Oxide Time: 2:17:34 My Time: 2:09:46 Full playlist: • CTR Nitro-Fueled — Nitros Oxide Time Trials Season 7 of the Grand Prix brings us Megamix Mania, where Mad Max meets CTR. Fun course with a great soundtrack to boot. Those who found last season's Oxide time overly taxing will be delighted to know that this one is decidedly more forgiving, though no cakewalk by any stretch. As with several of the GP tracks, MM has a single Ultimate Sacred Fire (USF) pad, and it comes early in the lap. After angling your kart to pass over the first standard (SF) boost pad, you'll see the giant USF pad before the first ramp. Stick to the right at the ramp and jump almost immediately upon landing to ensure you make it into the first shortcut. In here you may need to hop a bit to make sure you don't hit the sides and lose your blue fire. Up ahead, be careful to avoid the giant fan blades while power sliding, and try hugging the inside of the turn as best you can. Continue to chain perfect boosts in the next section and prepare for the second (and biggest) shortcut of the track. You'll count two boost pads and then at the third you want to cut to the left to make the huge jump up to an adjacent platform. Up here I go to the right of the tire stack. At the big jump land in a power slide and immediately start navigating a line between the ink traps and rock as I do in the video. If you can, power slide up to the ramp ahead to ensure you maintain USF. Drop down from the boost pad and power slide around the remaining ink traps toward the finish line. This track seems rough at first, but once you memorize the most hassle-free racing line, it goes down much easier. The most difficult part will be holding on to USF through the more technical sections, particularly the last stretch of track that's clogged with obstacles. With practice, though, you'll be outperforming Oxide in no time, especially if you managed to best him in Gingerbread Joyride last season.
