Elgin Museum Makes is a series of short videos showing how to recreate artefacts from our collection at home. In this episode, we learn about the mythical beast which can be seen on Pictish Stones. Then it’s time for you to create your own mythical beast! Using the templates which can be found on our website (www.elginmuseum.org.uk/education-and-outreach) colour and cut out the Pictish Beasts and use them to create your own unique creatures. Email elginmuseumlearning@gmail.com to request copies of the templates to be sent out to you at home. What you'll need: Pictish Beast templates (from https://elginmuseum.org.uk/education-..., colouring pencils / crayons / pens / paints, scissors, glue (or sellotape or double sided sticky tape). Please be very careful when cutting and gluing - and if you aren't sure, ask for help from an adult. This craft is suitable for ages 5 to 95 (though younger crafters will need help!). Please share your creations with us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or by email.
