Pour the butter milk into a container, add a crushed garlic clove and season with salt and pepper. Mix well, add the chicken and leave to marinade (brine) for at least 2 hours - 4 hours or even over night would work as well. Heat up a lot of oil (I used around 3 liters) in an dutch oven and heat it up until it has reached 170°C / 338°F - I used an indirect set up. With the flour, egg wash and bread crumbs, set up a breading station and coat the chicken (firs flour, then egg wash, then bread crumbs). Fry the chicken for 10-12 minutes until golden brown, dab dry on kitchen paper and season with a bit of salt. Serve with some lemon wedges and enjoy! So easy to make, but so delicious!
