Dhoon Glen Walk | Waterfall, Ruins & Beach Adventure (Isle of Man Vicar)

Join me as I explore Dhoon Glen, one of the Isle of Man’s most dramatic and beautiful glens. Starting from the Manx Electric Railway halt at Dhoon Glen Station, I take the route marked for “more experienced walkers” — steep paths, endless steps, and bridges leading down through the forest. Along the way I discover ruined buildings hidden in the trees, clamber past fallen branches, and eventually reach the spectacular Inneen Vooar waterfall (translated from Manx Gaelic as Big Girl). From there I continue down to the coast at Dhoon Bay, where I stop for a well-earned coffee brew with a sea view. Finally, I take a different route back through the glen, enjoying more woodland paths and river crossings. This walk has it all — waterfalls, beaches, ruins, steep climbs, and the peace of nature.
