It’s easy to live like the loudest voice is the truest voice. Outrage spreads faster than wisdom. Half-truths travel farther than repentance. And when everyone’s yelling, it can start to feel “normal” to dehumanize people, excuse cruelty, and call compromise “just the way the world works.” But God doesn’t judge the world by the trending page. He sees the wars you’ve grown numb to, the vulnerable you’ve reduced to talking points, the poor you’ve blamed for their pain, and the truth you’ve traded for whatever helps your side win. He also sees something closer: your own heart—what you tolerate, what you repeat, what you secretly enjoy, what you justify. The sharpest correction in times like these isn’t aimed “out there.” It starts in here. God’s call is not to become a louder version of the culture’s anger. It’s to become a steadier version of Christ’s faithfulness. Truth without contempt. Conviction without cruelty. Mercy without marketing. Holiness without hypocrisy. And when you fail—because you will—the path back is still the same: repentance, obedience, and a quiet return to what’s real. The world is building towers. God is building souls. Don’t let the noise train you to hate. Let the Word train you to live. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:31–32) "Lord, pull me out of the fog of outrage and make me steady in Your truth. Guard my mouth from contempt, my mind from deception, and my heart from hardening. Teach me to be faithful when it’s unpopular—merciful when it’s costly, and courageous without cruelty. Help me repent quickly, love sincerely, and live like You are King, not the crowd. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
