Filming Date: Friday 17th October 2025 Filming Locations: Dunmurry station, Bangor West station, Jordanstown station and Whiteabbey station This video is from when I spent the day chasing the Northern Ireland Railways Multi-Purpose Vehicle (M.P.V.) on Sandite / Waterjetting duties. From September to December each year, the M.P.V. operates these duties every weekday to keep leaves off the tracks and to reduce wheelslip problems. Firstly, it is seen passing platform 1 at Dunmurry station with the 11:01 movement from Fortwilliam depot to Portadown, with a loud 2-tone horn due to there being a 'W' sign. Next, it is seen going around the bend at Bangor West station whilst passing platform 2 with the 12:50 movement from Portadown to Bangor. Then it is seen passing platform 2 at Jordanstown station with the 14:58 movement from Lanyon Place to Carrickfergus. Finally, it is seen passing Whiteabbey station platform 1 with the 15:33 movement from Carrickfergus to Fortwilliam depot. I do not give out information on dates / timings of non-passenger workings as these are confidential so do not ask me as I will just say no.
