A one-person cake shop in a small, retro house! Her day doing it all on her own.

The cake shop "Ohisama" was started by Fukuda-san when she was 23 years old. A passionate lover of baking since childhood, she fulfilled her dream by opening this small shop. We filmed a day in her life at this charming little store. Located in a residential area without any sign to indicate its presence, it might seem hidden, but it's extremely popular and loved by the local community. Though the shop's hours are, typically open 1 or 2 days a week, Fukuda-san is the one who makes all the sweets by herself, so most of her days are spent preparing her delicious treats. On the day we visited, there customers were waiting before the store even opened, and some were regulars who are big fans of her cakes. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with both the customers and Fukuda-san radiating a calm and irregular joyful energy.
