This episode I’m talking to Dr John Robinson, GP, clinical informatician, and former chair of the BCS Primary Health Care Specialist Group (BCS PHCSG) - someone who has been around in GP Informatics since before it was called GP Informatics! We talk through some of the history of GP records, including Lloyd George envelopes and how they were sized to fit into WW1 ammunition cases! The advent of various paper systems including A4 paper, and then the move to early GP systems - enabling audits, reports, contractual data submissions, and repeat prescribing. Apologies for the caret/mouse pointer you can occasionally see in the video of this episode - I made an error with the OBS settings.
