Rare MLW RS23 Smoking and Working on the Minnesota Commercial

A rare MLW RS23, built in 1959, is used by the Minnesota Commercial, and stationed at CTM in Fridley, MN. Each time this old locomotive throttles up, it puts on a nice smoke show. The former Canadian Pacific unit is one of the few RS23s that are still around, and in daily service. We'll start off seeing the RS23 setting out a cut of cars in New Brighton, before tacking onto a cut of loaded coil cars. The veteran locomotive made easy work of these, and sounded great as it tackled the short, yet stiff grade back to CTM. After some switching moves, and cutting away from its train, the crew of MNNR 80 tied down, and called it a day. It was a surprise to see this old school locomotive out and about!
