If you’re going to Manali from Delhi, why do people wander around Mall Road when there are such beautiful valleys just a few hours away from Manali? Such beautiful valleys start just 15 kilometers from Manali, and you can visit all these places in 3 days, that too for under ₹5000. First of all, you can go to Manali from Delhi by any Volvo bus, the fare of which will cost ₹800 to ₹900. After reaching Manali, rent a bike near Mall Road and check into any dormitory or hotel in Old Manali, the charges of which will be ₹500 to ₹1000. Freshen up and leave quickly. Head towards Atal Tunnel. As soon as you cross the tunnel, there is a beautiful village Koksar 6 to 7 kilometers away from there. This village is considered to be one of the coldest villages of Lahaul Valley. From there come to Sissu village. Situated on the banks of Chandra river, you can do many adventure activities in this village and there is also a beautiful waterfall here, to see the view of which you have to trek 1 kilometer. From Sissu go straight to your hotel and then visit Old Manali. There are many cafes, restaurants and you can also buy many things here. Next day, wake up early, check out and leave. Head straight to Jispa Village, where people camp. In winter, this village resembles a barefoot wonderland. Then, on the third day, head to Baralachala Pass or Suraj Tal Lake, which sits above 16,000 feet and is surrounded by beautiful valleys. From there, take the Mall Road route or bus to Delhi.
