He's making a list. He's checking it twice. He's giving you jumps that are very precise. This completely flew under my radar until I heard about it at the Fangame Awards. It's not what I'd usually play, me and 60+ difficulty needle with long saves don't exactly get along, but it looked interesting enough to give it a shot. And it's was an absolute gantlet. I have one main criticism. The game is long. This isn't bad on its own, but to me the game FELT long in a way that sometimes became exhausting. And the final level is basically an entire fangame on its own. I think each stage could've been cut down by 2 or 3 screens, and I would've gotten enough enjoyment out of the idea without it feeling like it was dragging on a bit. This can probably be partially chalked up to skill issue, because I know I struggled a lot more than the intended audience who's more comfortable with this level of difficulty. My only other real complaint was some parts of the 3D surfing level being needlessly learny and not giving you enough time to react, but I still had a lot of fun with the stage. Beyond that, the game is stellar and succeeds in exactly what it's trying to be. Presentation is outstanding, the atmosphere built into each stage is very effective. The game is full of charm that really shines through in the Ghosts of Christmas Past and TV stages. The level design, especially the final stage, is ambitious and well executed, with screens built to be done forward, backward, upside down, or with multiple different gimmicks. Even though a lot of the saves can be pretty long, it's usually careful not to make anything annoyingly precise or inconsistent to pull off. Bosses. Amazing. Loved every single one. Want more of that. If you're good, or you want to try getting good with a genuinely well designed challenge, give it a play.
