Ingredients: Butter – 200 g Sugar – 200 g Flour – 200 g Eggs – 3 Baking powder – 1½ tsp Vanilla – 1½ tsp First, before making the cake, let’s prepare the pan. I’m spreading some butter and lining it with baking paper. Then I’ll spread a little more butter on top. Pan is ready! Now, in a large bowl, add 200g of butter. Next, add 200g of sugar. Blend the sugar a little, then you don’t need to beat it for too long. Beat these two together for about 4–5 minutes until the butter becomes pale and fluffy like this. Now, add 3 eggs. No need to separate yolks and whites for today’s cake. Beat well for about 2 minutes. Next, mix 200g of flour with 1½ tsp of baking powder. Make sure to sift it once so there are no lumps. Now, add it in two parts into the mixture. While mixing, add 2 tbsp of milk. Then add 1½ tsp of vanilla. Don’t overmix unnecessarily—just stop once everything is combined. Now pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Use a spatula to spread evenly around the pan. Here’s the fun part! To create that special design in the middle, sprinkle about 1½ tbsp of cocoa powder across the batter like this. Then carefully add the remaining batter on top. Make sure the cocoa layer doesn’t mix in, so you’ll get nice layers. Spread evenly again—super easy, right? Now tap the pan twice to remove air bubbles. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45–50 minutes. Since oven times can vary, remove the cake when the top turns golden brown, or check with a toothpick inserted in the middle. See how beautifully it’s baked? Sometimes it smells so good you’ll be tempted to eat it warm straight away! Once cooled, cut off the edges first so you can clearly see the design.
