Middle Beach Studland Erosion After Storm Chandra

Recorded on 29th January 2026 after stormy weather. This area of the shoreline and slopes to the beach were recently rebuilt after the removal of the older sea defences and beach cafe to allow the shoreline to return to its natural state. Heavy winds and waves over the past few weeks have removed a lot of the new sand and mud revealing an old rubbish dumping site with items from the 1960s and 70s being found on the beach as the waves wash the rubbish into sea. Please take care not to walk too close to the shoreline and do not attempt to walk along this area at high tide.
