06/19/25 This day, I came across 2 unwelcome guests. 1st is something that you come across often while Fluking which a buddy hooked up early in the morning. It was a bit of challenge as I’m trying to avoid barb and the plier I have is for Fluke so it twists if enough force is applied not like ones for other stronger fish. 2nd is a Seagull that the line got wrapped up while casting for Blues. Overall, a slow day for keeper but pretty much endless supply of short Fluke. 00:00 Helping a buddy with a Stingray. Tried to keep the tail end in the water so I don’t risk getting hurt. 04:34 One of the nastiest cut I’ve ever seen on a Fluke. Not sure how it managed to get a cut like that. I wished a quick recovery by saying “Heal” at the end. Ironic, I know. 06:00 It’s like a yearly event now to get a bird on the line. Luckily, this one was easy to untangle. 07:42 A couple of Blues. No gators this year for me which is odd. It’s like guaranteed every May on but not this year.
