In this DIY tutorial, I’m showing you how to create functional art tiles with a raw, concrete-like texture and subtle silver leaf details. These tiles can be used as drink coasters, decorative wall tiles, or even scaled up into larger panels — it all depends on your creativity. The project is simple and doesn’t require any special tools. The most important part is the texture: you can imprint patterns using mesh sheets, fabric, lace, rope, or anything you have at home. I used a macramé mesh sheet to create a clean, repeating pattern, then highlighted the raised areas with silver leaf for a soft “wow” effect. ✨ Perfect for: – DIY coasters – textured wall decor – small handmade home accessories – experimenting with surfaces and patterns What you will need – paper pulp (recipe here: [LINK]) – old fabric (cotton or linen) – plastic foil (cellophane) – rolling pin – paper + pencil + ruler – sharp scissors – brush – PVA glue – silver leaf sheets / silver flakes Steps Step 1: Surface prep and rolling setup Step 2: Cut your tile shape using a template Step 3: Imprint the texture pattern Step 4: Add silver leaf details Music:Lifestream Musician:Dream Machine URL:https://icons8.com/music
