Fond Memories Original Performance by: Kobo Kanaeru Music by: Kobo Kanaeru Arrangement by: Able98Able98 Wow... umm... how do I start with this one. This one came out of literally nowhere for me. I've always known Hololive in general to have songs that are on the happier sides and a few occasional melodramatic one, but this one is just straight up tragic. My heart cried a river listening to this. And the music! Oh my God the music. Kobo composed this herself and man she doesn't miss a single beat. This is a goodbye song, to a loved one, to someone you cherish. Be it passing on to the next world or just parting ways where the two of you will never again cross paths. The first time I listened to this I knew I had to arrange this for piano. The song was basically asking for it with it's beautiful piano accompaniment by Rexana, the music producer. And well, here it is. For once I actually tried to put extra work to make sure I get the dynamics and all the accents and the tenutos and the sforzandos correct. This arrangement I feel flows really well from one section to the next. The left hand itself is rather simple but melodically but it does need accuracy especially for the dynamics to contrast with the melody heavy right hand. There's a lot of arpeggiated sections and the finale with septuplets for 4 straight bars (A quarter of the recording was just trying to get this final part right). Emulating the strings with the piano did pose a bit of a challenge though I tried to approximate it with a strong root in the bass and playing light arpeggios on top of it On a more technical side, I feel like this is the best footage I've gotten for my video so far. I finally found a nice comfortable positions for the cameras and my lights that feels balance between the brightness from the fill light I have and the color panels from the LED strip behind the piano. It's not too dark so the video doesn't come off as grainy as a few of my previous vids, and it's also bright enough that color correcting it was a breeze. Also, to celebrate a bit, thank you everyone for 500 subs. I really didn't expect to get this much numbers to be honest. My latest orchestral arrangement of ALiCE&U got blessed by the algorithm gods and it's performing way beyond my expectations. I'm still keeping the promise I made to myself that this is purely a hobby and just for my own personal amusement, I have other means of a stable income so this channel and all my work here will never amount to anything commercial or heck even monetized (at least by myself, heck if I know if Youtube will put one just to get the money for themselves). So thank you to all of you for putting in a bit of your time and attention here among the plethora of videos and music all competing for them sweet statistics and analytics in the internet. Also because I seem to have been asked this multiple times in a few of my previous video recently, here are my stuff Digital piano: Roland FP-30X Camera: Sony RX100 mark I, Sony RX100 mark II, Poco F6 Light and tripod: Mostly by Inbex RGB LED strip: Some chinese brand I got on tokopedia for barely 5 USD Recording software: Audacity Editing software: DaVinci Resolve [Sheet] https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/fo... #aeruseni #kobokanaeru #fondmemories
