Discovering the Tamar Lakes near Bude, Going around the longer Upper Lake walk.

The upper and lower Tamar lakes can be can be found near to each other Both of the lakes have parking and a cafe. Upper Tamar is a lot longer route. The upper Tamar lakes has 2 disabled bays. Please check the Tamar lakes cafe for opening times on their website. When we went it said closed on Monday Tuesday. The breakfast is absolutely yummy there ! Lots of room to manoeuvre inside. Outside seating too You can have a go at a canoe, ride a large swan or sailing boat there. This route is not completely flat and is 3 miles in total. Please note that there are a lot of Flies ect so if you are prone to insect bites then please take the necessary precautions. You may see the fishermen here. It is very peaceful and not completely flat. Has some inclines and it was for me quiet bumpy with the gravel on the pathway. Really exposed for half the way so please be careful. Post code EX23 9SB
